Spring, Texas – January 12, 2026 – PRESSADVANTAGE –
Rivera Tennis Academy will host a one-day singles tennis tournament on January 24th at Forest Oaks Swim & Racquet Club in Spring, Texas, providing competitive opportunities for players across multiple skill divisions.
The UTR Tennis Tournament features two competitive categories designed to accommodate players at different experience levels. The co-ed singles division welcomes players of all skill ratings, while a dedicated division serves players with UTR ratings of 1.5 or lower.

“This tournament represents an excellent opportunity for players to gain competitive match experience in a structured environment,” said Alfredo Rivera, Academy Director and former ATP and Davis Cup player. “Whether players are looking to improve their UTR rating or simply want to test their skills against new opponents, this event provides the perfect platform for meaningful competition.”
The tournament takes place at the academy’s home facility at Forest Oaks Swim & Racquet Club, located at 19023 Joanleigh Drive in Spring. The venue features multiple courts and provides an ideal setting for competitive play. Players participating in the event will compete in a single-day format, allowing for efficient scheduling and maximum playing opportunities.
Rivera Tennis Academy has established itself as a comprehensive tennis training center serving the Spring community with programs for all ages and abilities. The academy’s curriculum includes junior tennis lessons, kids tennis programs, adult instruction, private coaching, elite player development, and specialized homeschool tennis lessons. Each program is designed to meet the specific needs of different player groups, from beginners learning fundamental skills to advanced competitors pursuing higher levels of performance.
The tournament aligns with the academy’s mission to provide diverse competitive opportunities alongside its regular training programs. Throughout the year, the academy hosts various leagues and local tournaments, creating pathways for players to apply their skills in match situations. These events complement the academy’s core instructional programs and help students develop the mental and strategic aspects of competitive tennis.
Under the leadership of Alfredo Rivera, whose professional playing experience includes competing at the ATP level and representing Chile in Davis Cup competition, the academy emphasizes both technical excellence and competitive readiness. The coaching staff focuses on developing well-rounded players who can perform effectively in tournament settings.
Rivera Tennis Academy operates as a full-service tennis facility, offering racquet stringing services and carrying Babolat equipment and apparel. The academy has built a reputation for quality instruction and a supportive learning environment, with programs structured to help players progress from introductory levels through advanced competitive play. The upcoming singles tournament represents another opportunity for the tennis community to engage with the academy’s comprehensive approach to player development.
Registration is available at https://app.utrsports.net/clubs/157 with pricing set at $50 for UTR members and $62.50 for non-members in the co-ed division, and $35 for UTR members and $47.50 for non-members in the UTR 1.5 or lower category.

He works with everyone, from beginners to advanced students. My daughters have been at the Academy since 2020, and now both of them are part of the Varsity team in High School. The Rivera Academy is more than just a tennis academy; they treat everyone with enthusiasm, respect, motivation, and perhaps even more importantly, like family. We totally recommend the Academy.”,
